What is No Place Like Home?

No Place Like Home is the new Channel 5 series that resembles Who Do You Think You Are?, but for local history. In each episode, a celebrity visits the area they grew up in to learn more about its past.

Who appears on No Place Like Home?

No Place Like Home began in 2022 with a three-part series following The Repair Shop presenter Jay Blades as he revisited his childhood neighbourhood in East London. Jay Blades’ production company, Hungry Jay Media, then produced a full six-part series. The first three episodes were broadcast on Channel 5 in January 2023 and starred TV presenter Fern Britton, revisiting Chalfont St Giles; journalist Victoria Derbyshire, visiting Greater Manchester; and actor Ben Miller, returning to Nantwich. The next three episodes, starring actor Amanda Abbington, TV presenter JJ Chalmers and former footballer Chris Kamara, will be broadcast later this year.
